Aussie News -Sad and Happy

Dear Dazzy,

Oh honey. What sad news-Heath Ledger, your Aussie countryman, has passed away in NY.
When I heard it, I was shocked! Then all I could think of was who was going to have to go through his things-email accounts, sock drawers, awards and whatnot...who would be the one to make the awful calls to his family and friends on the other side of the big pond.

His poor family. My heart breaks for them.
Especially his little girl, Matilda.

It brought back heartwrenching memories of finding you at home that terrible Friday arvo, and honestly, I don't remember who called whom-it wasn't me, because I was in such shock! I know I talked to a few people, but I think Greg and Marylou did a good bit of the phone work for me.

Death sucks.

It rears its ugly head and snatches its prey without a sideways glance or care at those who will be left behind. There better be a damn good place to move on up to after all the frigging' heartache that is caused here on Earth due to it.

Honestly, I sometimes don't know how we go on emotionally as a species.

I am not sure how I'm going, babe, let me tell ya.

So after that news, I decided to workout and watch American Idol.
Low and behold, a really cute guy from LA auditions with a great song-and as soon as he said his name, I could tell he was an Aussie! Living in the US for ten years. Guess whom I will be voting for in the coming weeks eh? LOL
You'd be barracking for him as well! I can here you now-
"Well done, young man, Aussie Aussie Aussie... Oi Oi Oi!"

Just the thought of you doing that makes me smile through my tears.
Its kinda late now and I am still on DAY OFF mode so I HAVE to get into bed and talk myself into some shut-eye.

Loved the dream of you and I renoing a big, old house last night honey-but strange, you never talked to me in the dream! That is SO not like you-but maybe that's a reflection of where you are these days, eh?
I bet it so different and weird and cool all at the same time-still it was nice to see you, be near you, even if it was only for a short bit. Now I know what the Aboriginals mean when they say that life was created out of the Dreamtime.

It's the place where all is right, all the time. Not like real life...

Night babe.
Love you Dazzy-Always.
Kisses, Wifey.

My daughters were just in tears when they heard about Heath. So hard to believe.

I just wanted to leave you a comment and let you know that I enjoy reading your blog.

I saw that you had started knitting again in one of your posts. I've also started again. I'm a little rusty, but getting there.
Take care.
